We are Positive Image, a camera club based in North Sheffield. 

Our Goals

A bit more about us

Positive Image was founded in 2016 by a small group of enthusiastic amateur photographers to create a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment for photographers of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and interests to come together and share their passion.

Through discussion of different approaches and techniques, exposure to new photographic experiences and the sharing and critiquing of one another’s work, members are encouraged and supported to develop as photographers. For more information, take a look at the What We Do page.

Positive Image has a small committee to oversee the running of the club. However, with informality and inclusiveness at its heart, it seeks to be a club run by the members and for the members, with an emphasis on reaching out to the wider community.

Therefore, whatever level of photographer you consider yourself to be, and whatever device you use, you will always find a warm welcome at Positive Image Camera Club. We particularly welcome people who are new to photography, or who are wishing to re-invigorate their passion for the medium.

Positive Image is a member of the Yorkshire Photographic Union (YPU), a society for camera clubs in Yorkshire. It is also affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
